I believe this one still needs to be switched to licensed music - to avoid SoundCloud trouble we only made the ones with licensed (as in: paid for) music available for download.
You can get those here: soundcloud.com/koobismo-com/se… (download them by selecting a chapter and pressing the Download button). The ones that haven't yet been switched (which, unfortunately, include this chapter), need to be before making them officially available. Sorry for the wait - hoping we can speed it up soon.
As for now... You can click the "Download File" button to the right to download the SWF itself. I'VE HEARD that once you have that, you can just rip an MP3 out of it. There seems to be many tools available in Uncle Google, like this one: download.cnet.com/Easy-SWF-to-…
But what do I know about such stuff...
he may as well be Nihlus. this is incredible on so many levels... and only serves to make me love Nihlus even more. spirits... this is all that is amazing.
that is easy, the spectres bodies are stored in cold storage incase they need to be examined
P.S. Evidenced by the fact Bioware called you "rad" and some such on their twitter channel.
As I've written below: "if you can, help us make this series even better - write an e-mail about us to your favorite gaming sites and blogs, post the links to the comics and audiostories at your favorite forums, follow me on twitter... The more help we get in spreading these around, the more ambitious we can get about the motion and interactive projects we're working on."
All help greatly appreciated!!
thank god that there are people this amazing.
May he rest in peace.
How is Nillus a Marauder at all? Don't get me wrong, I love the idea and there is accounts of the possible resistance to Reaper controlling from the books and such. I am just wondering when Nillus' body could have been taken off world.
Nillus had been left to rot by Saren so that he could progress to the space port. The body could have been retrieved by the Geth, but they would of had to get passed Shepard on his way to the space port. They could have circled back around on Sovereign, but then why set the charges on a timer instead of remote activation? I don't know. I just can't think of a logical way to get Nillus from point A to point B.
But I guess logic can be thrown out the window anyway. I mean, the "Color Swap" endings are proof enough of that.
Now, with that in mind, I moved to another fact found in ME canon - an often forgotten fact about Saren. What is worth mentioning here is that in the official canon Saren was a mentor of sorts to Nihlus, they were incredibly close over the years, and they both trusted each other deeply. My assumption is that Saren was pretty unstable because of the prolonged indoctrination - he shot Nihlus but regretted it to a degree a moment later, after getting the bombs primed up. So he ordered a team of geth troopers from a dropship located in another part of Eden Prime (the colony attacked was much bigger than what we saw in game - it was only a part of it) to come in and take his body (probably done by a small unit left behind, one that Shepard missed - its not like we were swooping the whole surroundings, there were for sure more spikes and geth around if they massacred half the colony and the whole regiment of marines defending it). Did Saren plan for Nihlus to get spiked? Maybe. Or maybe it was the geth being overzealous (we know from the canon that they used spikes for quick production of shock troopers, which at this point in the story they really need), maybe Saren just wanted to give his old friend and student a proper burial... Maybe Saren saw this as a chance to save him after he killed him? He does believe in Synthesis after all...
Either way, Nihlus' body found its way onto the geth dropship, as seen in the comic, where the blast of energy from the Prothean beacon damaged the Reaper technology onboard (the spikes), giving a half-reaperized, and now half-alive Nihlus a second with his cybernetically jumpstarted brain still working, but without the Reaper control over it. It was enough.
And no, I disagree about throwing logic out of the window. If it would be up to me, I would of course not go into any deus ex machinas and rewrites, planning it all from the start, but, hey, as a mere fanficer here, I work with what I have. Still, applying logic to it all and finding plausible solutions is incredibly important for me, don't doubt that.
If I make a small suggestion: could you add some minor special effect sounds in it? For example, in the scene where he says "you saved me so I could save you", some bullets whizzing about would be quite cool, as long as it doesn't interfere with the soundtrack.
Brains... can't... handle... awesomeness...
